今までニュージーランドで何回かpaperで更新をしてきたのですが今回初めてパスポートの提出に際し問い合わせがメールがありました。
Please scan me a certified copy of his passport , by Friday this week (you have submitted a mere copy but we need the certified one duly attested by JP/Solicitor) I will however accept his application today.
Getting a certified copy means that you first take a copy of his passport ,go to a JP and get the copy certified by showing his original passport and then scan me the certified copy back.

今までもパスポートの写真とスタンプのページを全てコピーして添付しただけでしたが更新出来てました。
この英文に書かれてる公認されたコピーというのがいまいちわかりせん。
どなたかわかる方がいたら説明お願い致します。
