それは 　void　ではなくてbond （保証金）だと思います。bond なら、車に傷をつけなければ車の返還時に戻るはずです。でも、心配なら店に電話して確かめたらどうですか。

Is a bond required?
A bond of NZ$2000 is required for our Minimum Cover option and a bond of NZ$500 is required for our Excess Reduction option. We will authorise the excess amount onto the credit card provided for security unless you opt for the Excess Reduction or Ace PLUS Cover options. This bond will be released upon return of the undamaged vehicle.
